Greek green beans with beef (fasolakia me moshari)

Fasolakia with beef

Fasolakia with beef is a delicious and tasty dish. Beef with green beans and red sauce is a recipe that I'm sure will make a great meal for the whole family.

Yield: 4 servings
Preparation time: 40 minutes
Total Time: Approximately 1 hour

Ingredients:

1 ½ pound calf, olives or bean, in small cubes
    1/2 fl. tea olive oil
2 medium dried onions finely chopped
    2 cloves of garlic chopped
4-5 whole grains or 1 tsp. whole wheat powder
1 box of couscous tomatoes, powdered in the multi
1 tbsp. tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 kilogram of fresh or frozen beans, cleaned
1/3 bunch of parsley finely chopped
    Salt Pepper

Recipe instructions:

In a large deep pan or pot, heat the olive oil and cook the meat well until it is browned and shielded from all sides. Add the onion and garlic and sauté by stirring for 1-2 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and "rub" to the pot base to get the flavor and aromas. Pour the tomatoes, pepper, sugar pepper and 2 cups. hot water (or beef broth). Cover your dish, lower the heat to low, and simmer food for 50-60 minutes.

Add the green beans and salt, increase the temperature to moderate and cover the pot. Continue boiling, stirring gently with a wooden spoon, for about 20-30 minutes or soften according to your preferences the green beans.

Add some more hot water (if necessary because the beans will also make their own liquids).

Optionally, add 1-2 carrots, cleaned in washers, along with the meat to boil well.

If you enjoyed this recipe, you should try another one containing green beans and meat, fasolakia me kreas, by it's Greek name.
